A French Legion D'honneur, c.1835 Archive Sutcliffe volunteered for service with(1830 1848) A nicely preserved award in toned silver with red, white, blue and green enamels, Gold centrepieces, measuring 19. 7 mm x 34 mm inclusive of its crown and ball suspension, frayed original ribbon, crazing and chipping evident in the white enamels on the arms, near extremely fine.
